Spring Sports: A roundup of action from April 1

NEW CASTLE — Boys track

Fazio, Kroner pace Lancers


Rocco Fazio and Robbie Kroner each won three events to help Neshannock post an 88-58 win over host Union.

Fazio registered wins in the 100, 200 and 400 relay, while Kroner was victorious in the 800, 3200 and 3200 relay.

Curtis Caughey (shot put, discus), Cole Keister (300 hurdles, 1600 relay), Nathanael Salvatore (400, 1600 relay), Brady Stewart (long jump, 1600 relay) and James Thomas (110 hurdles, triple jump) were double winners for the Scotties.

Greyhounds cruise

Cody Cooper scored four victories to pace visiting Wilmington to the 88-61 win over Mercer.

Cooper topped the 200, 400, 1600 relay and the 3200 relay.

Girls track

Neshannock wins


Maria DeLuca and Chandler Moorhouse captured three events each as the Lady Lancers rolled past Union, 113-33.

DeLuca finished in first in the 100, the triple jump and the 400 relay, while Moorhouse won the 800, the 1600 relay and the 3200 relay.

Abbey Kerr topped the 300 hurdles and Christina Noble won the javelin for the lone Lady Scots’ victories.

Wilmington rolls

Hannah Drake and Rikki Brumbaugh each collected four victories to lead the Lady Greyhounds to a 97-53 triumph over host Mercer.

Drake won the long jump, triple jump, the 1600 relay and the 3200 relay, while Brumbaugh registered first place finishes in the 1600, 3200, the 1600 relay and the 3200 relay.
