NEW CASTLE — Boys Track

Warriors cruise


Gio Menichino posted four victories to guide Mohawk to a 114-35 home win over Shenango.

Menichino topped the 400, 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles and the 1600 relay.

David Waldschmidt won the 1600 and the 3200 for the Wildcats.

Girls Track

Fleck stars


Maria Fleck set a stadium record and won three events to lead Mohawk to the 77-73 win over visiting Shenango.

Fleck’s time of 46.3 in the 300-meter hurdles eclipsed the old mark of 47.1, which was shared by Mohawk’s Jessica Sackin and Ellwood City’s Angela McCowin.

Fleck also won the 100 hurdles and the 1600 relay.

Miranda Schry led the Lady Wildcats with wins in the high jump, long jump and triple jump.

Boys tennis

Neshannock at Riverside

Lancers fall


Neshannock dropped a 4-1 Section 2-AA match to Riverside at the North Beaver Tennis Center.

The Lancers are 1-5, 1-5.

1. Chris Clark/Robert Kwiat (N) def. Lucas Mansell/Blake Weber 6-4, 6-7 (3-7), 6-3.

2. Hunter Paff/Mike Knaugg (R) def. Nick Przywarty/Cole Smith 6-3, 6-3.
