The Shenango Mets won the 2008 Pizza Joe’s tournament of champions for 9- and 10-year-olds.
The event was hosted by the Union Township Athletic Association.
The Mets went undefeated in the tournament, knocking off the Neshannock White Sox in the title game, 11-6.
Kyle Campbell went 3 for 4 with three doubles while Vince Turco was 2 for 3 with two doubles. Hunter Waskin went 3 for 4 and Shaun Hooks, Brandon Ryder and Ryan Owrey each added singles each.
Other players include Davey Biddle, Christopher Vitale, Matt Kerr, Hayden Guemble, Brian Walters and Jared Burnette. Coaches are Kevin Waskin, Tim Campbell, Mike Kendall, Bob Turco and Shaun Hooks.
