NAMES IN THE GAME: Chrobak contributes on mound for Penn State-Behrend

Penn State-Behrend’s Andy Chrobak continues to dominate the opposition on the mound.
Chrobak spun a complete-game gem in a 17-0 win over Mount Aloysius earlier in the week.
Chrobak worked seven innings, allowing three hits with one walk and four strikeouts.
A junior pitcher from Laurel High, Chrobak is 3-1 in four appearances — all starts — with a 2.52 ERA. He has worked 25 innings, allowing 14 hits and eight runs — seven earned — with six walks and 20 strikeouts.
Chrobak was named the Behrend Lions Athlete of the Week for his effort the week of March 24 as well.
The Lions are 12-4.
Last year, Chrobak made a big impact in his first season with Penn State-Behrend. He went 5-4 with a 4.44 ERA and completed four games.
Elsewhere around college baseball:
•Slippery Rock University’s Scott Bender was 1 for 6 in a doubleheader loss to Ashland (Ohio) University on Wednesday.
Bender, a junior outfielder from Neshannock, was 1 for 3 in the opener, a 6-1 loss.
On Sunday, Bender went 2 for 8 as the Rock dropped a pair to Shippensburg in PSAC action.
Bender is batting .446 in 19 games. He has one home run and 12 RBIs.
Mark Tanner is a junior pitcher and University of Kentucky transfer from Neshannock competing for the Rock.
Tanner is 0-2 with a 40.50 ERA in three appearances — all starts. He has pitched four innings, allowing 16 hits and 19 runs, 18 earned. Tanner has walked three and struck out five.
