Hiram’s Shawn DeJohn is seeing limited action for the Terriers (7-16).
A sophomore from Shenango, DeJohn is averaging 3.9 points a game and 1.1 rebounds a tilt in eight games.
PLAYING WELL
Waynesburg College’s Jeff Nero posted seven points and five rebounds in an 89-77 triumph over Thomas More in a PAC matchup on Thursday.
Nero tied for team-high honors with Beau Wilson as each netted 18 markers in an 84-82 overtime loss to Westminster College on Feb. 10. He also added four rebounds in the setback.
Nero, a senior forward from Union, averages 11.3 points and 5.4 rebounds a contest for the 11-12 Yellow Jackets.
CARR SHOW
Grove City’s Shawn Carr tallied 21 points in an 87-84 loss to Washington & Jefferson on Thursday in a PAC matchup.
Carr was 7 of 16 from the field with a team-best-11 rebounds and three steals.
Carr also had 21 points in an 84-74 loss to Saint Vincent College on Feb. 10. He was 7 of 11 from the field, including 6 of 8 from behind the arc, to go along with six rebounds.
Carr, a junior guard from Mohawk, is averaging 10.7 points and 5.3 rebounds. He has also dished out 40 assists.
Bobby Turner, a junior from Laurel, is seeing limited action for the Wolverines. He has played in 15 games, averaging 2.5 points and two rebounds a contest. He had three points in the loss to Saint Vincent.
