Shenango hires three teachers

NEW CASTLE — The Shenango Area School Board hired three elementary teachers for the 2013-14 school year. They are:

•Caitlyn Elser of Cranberry Township at a $43,008 salary, representing step one of the teachers contract.

•Jessica Piccirillo of Edinburg at a $43,037 salary, representing step two.

•Derek Sumner of Neshannock Township at a $51,913 salary, representing step three.

The board also approved a contract with Kevin Rorabaugh to teach space camp at summer school this year. He will be paid $13 per hour for four hours a day from July 29 through Aug. 2.

Richard Harper was reappointed school solicitor for the 2013-14 school year at a rate of $130 per hour.

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to authorize Speaker John Boehner to sue President Obama for allegedly overstepping his legal authority with the way he's handled Obamacare. Good call?

Yes. Obama's been overstepping his authority since day one in office. It's time he pay the piper.
No. The allegations are ridiculous and the law suit is a waste of time and tax payer money.
I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of Obama, but the suit seems a little extreme.
