NEW CASTLE —
The Shenango school board has hired Ashley Hudson as a speech and language teacher.
Her salary for the 2012-13 school year will be $43,775.
A Shenango Township resident, Hudson currently teaches in the Grove City school district.
At its meeting this week, the board also:
•Granted a family medical leave for custodian Tara Fontana from July 16 through Oct. 8.
•Set prices for cafeteria meals for the 2012-13 school year. Prices for breakfasts were each increased by 25 cents. Elementary breakfasts will be $1.50 and high school breakfasts, $1.75. No other price changes were made.
•Named the Gleason Agency as insurance agents and Highmark as provider for workers’ compensation for the 2012-13 school year at an annual premium of $33,307.
