    Robert Razzano’s attorney believes there is a concerted effort by someone to discredit his client. Razzano, 52, the New Castle Junior High School principal, has been placed on paid administrative leave while the district investigates several alleged sexual harassment complaints against him.

  • District planning ‘farewell’ to school buildings

    Decades of early education in the city will be celebrated at the close of the school year. The New Castle school district will close three elementary buildings this summer. Anyone who has been associated with the John F. Kennedy, Thaddeus Stevens and/or West Side primary centers is invited to share photos and good memories of those buildings.

    When a New Castle school district employee is placed on administrative leave, it typically is the superintendent’s decision. District solicitor Charles Sapienza said in an email last week that the district has no policy governing when and why an employee is placed on administrative leave or whether he or she should be paid during that leave.
