The annual Wilmington Area High School Alumni Banquet will be July 19.
The summer banquet is a change from the traditional September or October gathering.
Featuring a buffet meal, the banquet will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. The cost is $20 per person.
To reduce the mailing expenses, specific members of each class were asked to contact classmates to provide information and collect reservations and money. That process resulted in nearly 200 alumni and friends attending the 2012 banquet. That procedure will be followed for the 2013 gathering.
The WAHS Alumni Scholarship Committee will award its fifth $500 scholarship this year. The current fund balance is just over $19,000.
