Neshannock Township School Board on Dec. 5:








*Authorized curriculum coordinator Mark Ferrara to sign checks, requisitions, purchase orders and other documents that do not need board approval and to conduct day-to-day affairs in the absence of superintendent Dr. Michael Hink.





Hink said he anticipates taking vacation time prior to his retirement in January.





*Agreed to pay the Neshannock Township supervisors $12,440 to install School Zone traffic warning lights on Mitchell Road. The township is responsible for maintaining the lights.





*Approved the 2004-05 audit of the school district by Robert Izzo of Phillip Weiner and Co.





*Approved student teachers Kathryn Richards and Molly Check, both for the second semester, and guidance intern Shawn Lucas.





*Accepted resignation of Maura Fornataro as musical vocal director.





*Hired Alissa Smith as Ski Club adviser. She will be paid $608. Smith replaces Jan Sumner, who resigned from the post.





*Approved Natalie Bell as student newspaper adviser at $994.





*Agreed to purchase a hot water heater for the high school for $8,800 from L--amp;R Associates Inc. in Texas, the lowest of three quotes received.
