At its meeting Nov. 9, the Shenango Area School Board:
•Added the following people to the substitute list: Claudia Porter, John Newton, Lisa Duckworth, Angelo Perrotta and Alexandra Haas as Midwestern Intermediate Unit-certified emergency teachers.
•Gave approval for the kindergarten classes to have their annual Thanksgiving dinner Nov. 24, at a cost to the district of $200.
•Accepted the resignation of Beth Pollio as district newsletter coordinator.
•Accepted the resignation of Bob Babick as musical orchestra director.
•Granted permission for the American Cancer Society to use school facilities for the Relay for Life on May 22 and 23.
•Granted permission for the Lawrence County commissioners to use the high school auditorium for their meeting at 10 a.m. Feb. 9.
•Approved bylaws for the football and band boosters.
•Granted leave of six unpaid days during this school year to teacher Ralph Martone, so he can attend the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s board meetings.
