Vo-tech school administrator named

NEW CASTLE — Dr. C. Joyce Nicksick will be the Lawrence County Career and Technical Center’s chief school administrator for the 2013-14 year.

Nicksick, who is superintendent of the Wilmington Area School District, will oversee the meetings of the center’s joint operating committee. She will assume her duties July 1.

Dr. Alfonso “Butch” Angelucci, superintendent of the Union Area School District, currently holds the position.

At its meeting last week, the vo-tech school’s board:

•Reappointed attorney Gregg Fox as solicitor at $110 per hour for next school year, the same rate he charged the district this year.

•Reappointed Mark Turnley as the school’s auditor through 2013 at $4,000. He has been the auditor for 10 years.
