*Adopted the Pennsylvania School Board Association Standards for Effective School Governance and revised Code of Conduct for board members. These codes were developed over a year by the state association, Superintendent Dr. Timothy McNamee said.
*Announced the students and staff have received the Keystone Achievement Award for academic proficiency in the Pennsylvania System School Assessment testing. McNamee said elementary as well as junior and senior high school students qualified.
*Hired Inga Arnold and Natisha Snyder as substitute teachers under the emergency certification system.
*Accepted the state audit report for years ending June 30, 2004, and June 30, 2003. Business manager Lois Passerella said there were no findings.
*Acknowledged the Pennsylvania School Board Association recognized board president Jonathan Laughner for eight years of service and Robert Hodge for 12 years of service.
*Commended outgoing board members Eugene Butch and Ray Vogel for their service to the board.
