The Couch Potato: A 'Rockin' good time
Back when the Couch Potato was living the dream as a young, care-free high school student, Dick Clark was getting up there in years, but still rockin' it out on New Year's Eve. "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" was the gold standard for TV viewing on the biggest party night of the year, while also providing the inspiration for the Couch Potato's own annual party, "New Year's Freakin', Rockin' Eve."

The Couch Potato: Make a decision to watch ‘Boardwalk Empire’
I read something the other day that struck me as extremely poignant. The writer said that they hated when they knew there was a situation that was beyond their control.
The Couch Potato: Truth be told, I’m ‘Lost’ without the wifey
Since I am really not a professional entertainment critic, it's not as if I have loads of free time to sit around and watch movies, television or other forms of entertainment.
The Couch Potato: The ‘best’ of the worst shows on television
The old saying goes that “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” I’ve found that to be true many times in my life. In the most literal sense, I’ve had my garbage “stolen” off the curb by someone other than the garbage man.
The Couch Potato: Kudrow makes a sensational ‘Comeback’
During the summer of 1994, the Couch Potato was dutifully getting ready to enter the seventh grade as NBC prepared to launch one of its most successful shows of the 1990s.
