More charged in restaurant brawl
Charges were filed Thursday against three women in connection with a brawl at a South Side restaurant. Gabrielle Riccio, 28, of 305 Harding St., Ellwood City, was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and four counts of harassment.
Women charged in assault
Three women have been charged following an incident at a Crestview Gardens apartment. Messaiha Janee Brewer, 20, of 305 Halco Drive, Tammora Lee Wise, 25, of 925 Winslow Ave., and T’ier Unik Payne, 37, of 512 Pearson St., were charged Tuesday in District Judge Melissa Amodie’s court.
Man injured in truck crash
A New Castle man was injured in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in North Beaver Township. Thomas J. Via, 43, was reported in satisfactory condition yesterday at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Ohio.
Fire destroys trailer in Pulaski Township
The state police fire marshal is investigating a blaze that destroyed a mobile home Wednesday in Pulaski Township. Capt. Kelly Smith of the Pulaski Township Volunteer Fire Department said the trailer at Heritage Hills Mobile Home Park on Beechwood Boulevard was fully involved when crews arrived.
Local college campus locked down
An incident involving an unarmed student prompted a local college to be locked down for more than an hour Wednesday. About 200 students at Butler County Community College’s Lawrence Crossing campus on West State Street in Union Township were instructed to remain in their locked classrooms for about an hour and a half.
Man charged in restaurant fight
A Michigan man has been charged in connection with a fight at a South Side restaurant. Robert D. Rushmore Jr., 20, of Marley, was charged in District Judge Melissa Amodie’s court with one count each of simple assault and harassment for Sunday’s incident at Two Tomato restaurant, 207 E. Long Ave.

UPDATE, 12:55 p.m. — According to the Butler County Community College website, the lockdown has been lifted at the Union Township campus. "The site is safe, secure and open for day and evening activities."
Man accused of fondling teen
A Lawrence County man is facing indecent assault charges involving a 16-year-old female. Shenango Township police filed charges against David Michael Fritch, 47, of Copper Road in connection with an alleged incident Jan. 18.
