City man accused of burglary, threat

NEW CASTLE — A New Castle man is facing multiple charges after police allege he broke into a home and threatened a woman.

Dametris D. Gott, 34, of 11 W. Miller St. is accused of breaking into a home in the 200 block of North Walnut Street, threatening the life of a woman who lived there and taking cash and medications.

According to New Castle police, the incident occurred late Saturday night. They said he grabbed the woman while threatening her and refused to allow her to leave.

Charges filed against Gott are burglary, making terroristic threats, criminal trespass, stalking, false imprisonment, theft, receiving stolen property, simple assault and harassment.
