Police: Reports for Nov. 21

•Accident. Police said Joshua J. Duff, 33, of New Castle, eastbound on Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, struck a deer that ran across the highway. The driver did not report injuries.

•Theft. Police said a 2006 Ford F350 truck with dual rear wheels and “Hot Mess” written on the tailgate, valued at $12,000, was reported taken from the Universal Amcan parking lot on Route 18 in New Beaver Borough between 10 a.m. Nov. 6 and 8:30 p.m. Nov. 9.

•Hit-and-run. Police said an indentified vehicle eastbound on Moravia Road in North Beaver Township at 8:50 a.m. Monday, drove into oncoming traffic, striking the westbound vehicle of Kim A. Miller, 37, of New Castle, damaging the driver’s side mirror. The vehicle then fled. Police said no injuries were reported by Miller or her passengers.

•Retail theft. Police said Daryl Patrick Morella, 55, of Worthington Avenue was charged after allegedly concealing $15 worth of merchandise in his pocket at 2 p.m. Monday and leaving an unnamed Union Township business without paying for the merchandise.

•Accident. Police James M. Main, 26, of Fombell, was stopped on Route 18 in North Beaver Township about 8 a.m. Monday, waiting for traffic to clear, and was hit from behind by Robert E. Spann, 43, of New Galilee, who also was northbound on Route 18. Police said Main sustained a minor injury and Spann was cited for careless driving.


•Arrest. Police said Daniel C. Taylor, 76, of West Moody Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence about 9 a.m. Friday after he was observed striking the curb with his vehicle and almost hitting a parked car at Shenley Square.


•Domestic violence. William Francis Wimer, 30, 829 McGrath Ave. was charged with simple assault and harassment following an incident at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at his residence.


•Charged. Timothy Joseph McConahy, 33, was charged with forgery and theft of checks between October 2011 and November 2012.
