Police raid East Side home for drugs

NEW CASTLE — Narcotics officers raided a home on the city’s Lower East Side Wednesday and seized a quantity of pure cocaine.

As a result, Nicole M. Robertson, 28, of 607 Countyline St. was arrested and faces drug-related charges.

District Attorney Joshua Lamancusa said agents from his office and the city police narcotics bureau served a sealed search warrant around 9 p.m. at Robertson’s house, based on results of undercover narcotics operations.

They confiscated a bag containing about 1.5 grams of pure heroin, plus 12 stamp bags weighing another 7 grams with the packaging. Lamancusa estimated the street value for the drugs at $500.

Three other adults who were in the house at the time were released after Robinson gave police a statement admitting her sole involvement with the cocaine.

She was arraigned by District Judge Melissa A. Amodie, who set her jail bond at $25,000.

Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 fell from the sky in Donetsk, Ukraine, on Thursday, killing all 298 people aboard. Many are speculating that Russian rebels (supported by Vladimir Putin) are responsible for downing the aircraft. What do you think?

Yes. All evidence points that way.
No. Everyone is so quick to point fingers, but there's not enough evidence to support claims of Russian guilt.
I'm not sure. I'll just wait until the investigation is over to make up my mind.
What is up with these Malaysian Airlines planes? I know one airline I won't be flying any time soon...
