Police: Reports for Dec. 12

NEW CASTLE — NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP

•Theft. An electronic game set and oxycodone pills were reported missing from a home in the 2700 block of Mercer Road Dec. 4.

STATE

•Accident. Police said Theodore Landegger, 17, of Oakville, Pa., approached a stop sign on Route 208 at Main Street in Washington Township around 11:30 p.m. Friday and his van hit a car from behind that had been stopped at the intersection. The driver of that vehicle was Stephanie Sumner, 25, of New Castle. No injuries were reported. Landegger was cited for careless driving.

•Accident. Richard J. Hake, 51, of Warren, Ohio, was driving east on Interstate 376 in Neshannock Township around 8:30 p.m. Dec. 5 when he hit a deer. No injuries were reported.

•Accident. Police said Duane Arisman Jr., 52, of Enon Valley, was westbound on Enon Road in Darlington Township, Enon Valley, when he went off the road and hit a pole around 11 p.m. Saturday. No injuries were reported. He was cited for careless driving.

•Accident. Police said Dustin R. Jacobs-Jordan, 21, of Ellwood City, was on Portersville Road in Perry Township around 2 a.m. Saturday when he went off the road and hit a guard rail. He was charged with driving under the influence. Police said he sustained minor injury.

•Accident. Police said Jared L. Kaufman, 18, of New Wilmington, was driving south on Route 956 in Wilmington Township around 7:40 p.m. Dec. 2 when his car went into a ditch and overturned. No injuries were reported. He was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

•Criminal mischief. Someone used blue paint on four sections of aluminum siding on a white house in the 300 block of Beaver Dam Road in New Beaver Borough overnight Friday to Saturday.

•Arrest. Thomas Anthony Joseph III was arrested for driving under the influence around 1:30 a.m. Nov. 24 on Route 224 at Winter Road in Union Township. Police said he had refused a blood alcohol test and while at the hospital he allegedly used obscene and vulgar language despite being warned to stop several times. He also is charged with disorderly conduct and multiple traffic violations.

•Accident. Police said Robert L. Sedgwick, 64, of Wampum, was westbound on Vine Street around 9:15 p.m. Friday when his car went across the lane and hit the left side of a car driven by Brian Fransain, 61, of Ellwood City. Sedgwick then left, police said. No injuries were reported. Sedgwick was cited.

•Criminal mischief. Someone shot a hole in the outside wall of a house in the 400 block of Burns Road in Slippery Rock Township between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday.

•Accident. Police said Daff Gardner, 18, of Hubbard, was northbound on Martin Kelly Speer Road in Mahoning Township around 4:30 p.m. Saturday when his car went off the road into a ditch, back onto the road, spun counterclockwise, then hit a concrete drainage pipe. Gardner was not injured, according to police. He was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
