NEW CASTLE —
State police said they are continuing their investigation into the death of a New Wilmington woman in Mercer County.
However, officers said it appears that Santana Marie Riethmiller, 23, died when the all-terrain vehicle she was operated hit a fence post.
According to state police in Mercer, the accident occurred late Friday in a wooded area off Riethmiller Road in Lackawannock Township. The area is in a rural portion of Mercer County about a mile south of I-80.
Police said Riethmiller was on private property with her ATV when the accident occurred. She suffered unspecified injuries, which proved to be fatal.
