Man injured in Shenango accident

NEW CASTLE — A Slippery Rock man was injured after his car hit a deer on New Butler Road yesterday.

Shenango Township police said 27-year-old Michael Hemphill was driving west around 4 a.m. and swerved to miss a deer that had jumped onto the road. As a result, Hemphill’s vehicle crashed into some woods.

He sustained minor injuries to his neck, police said.
