Mahoningtown woman charged with assault

NEW CASTLE — A Mahoningtown woman is facing charges for allegedly beating another woman during an argument.

Dawn Lynn Feeley, 27, of Apt. 5, 210 N. Liberty St., is accused in connection with the incident.

A 24-year-old West Side woman told police she had been walking on Liberty Street with a friend around 8 p.m. Oct. 1, when she heard a couple arguing on the porch of a nearby apartment building.

She said she looked over at the couple, whom she did not know, and the woman, later identified as Feeley, saw her and yelled obscenities at her and called her foul names.

The younger woman said she yelled back and Feeley walked off the porch and hit her repeatedly on the left side of her neck and forehead. She said the woman also had struck her head off the pavement.

Police Monday charged Feeley with simple assault and harassment. She was sent a summons to appear in court.

Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 fell from the sky in Donetsk, Ukraine, on Thursday, killing all 298 people aboard. Many are speculating that Russian rebels (supported by Vladimir Putin) are responsible for downing the aircraft. What do you think?

Yes. All evidence points that way.
No. Everyone is so quick to point fingers, but there's not enough evidence to support claims of Russian guilt.
I'm not sure. I'll just wait until the investigation is over to make up my mind.
What is up with these Malaysian Airlines planes? I know one airline I won't be flying any time soon...
