NEW CASTLE —
A New Castle man facing 11 drug-related charges is being held on $25,000 bond.
The charges against Theodore Trent McHenry, 20, of 919 Beckford St. followed a raid at his home last week.
The Lawrence County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force and the New Castle Police Special Response Team organized the raid Nov. 27 and took McHenry into custody. A criminal complaint filed in the case said he had suspected heroin and $220 on him when he was arrested.
A search of the home turned up two guns and four tablets of suspected Ecstasy, according to officials. The complaint noted McHenry has a felony conviction for heroin and is not permitted to possess a firearm. It also said the house was within a school zone under state drug laws.
He is charged with two counts each of possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of a prohibited firearm.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
