•Assault. James P. Cavaricci, 56, of 515 Lyndal St. is charged with simple assault after he allegedly assaulted a man and sprayed him with pepper spray in the parking lot of the Cascade Galleria around 1:30 p.m. Sept. 3. Police said the man was bleeding from his face and arms. He told police Cavaricci had punched him several times during a disagreement. Cavaricci also is charged with harassment.

•Threats. Lierre Vontae Armstrong, 24, of 1109 Beech St., allegedly wielded a handgun and threatened to shoot several people during a domestic incident on Parkwood Court around 9:10 p.m. Saturday. He is charged with three counts of terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and harassment, and one count of disorderly conduct.

STATE

•Criminal mischief. Someone damaged two mailboxes and stole a custom-made metal sign between Sept. 10 and 11 on Shady Lane in Slippery Rock Township.

•Police said A. Joseph Giancola, 44, of New Castle used loud, obscene and abusive language while arguing with a volleyball coach at the Mohawk High School gymnasium around 4 p.m. Sept. 9. Giancola allegedly waited until after practice hours to confront the coach about an incident regarding a family member. He is charged with harassment and disorderly conduct.

•Criminal mischief. Someone knocked three tombstones off their foundations in Church Cemetery on Route 208 in Wilmington Township between Aug. 30 and Friday.

•Criminal mischief. Four youths were arrested after they allegedly stopped along Interstate 376 and shot a BB gun at passing vehicles around 9:15 p.m. Thursday. Two cars were hit. Police said one of the juveniles was found to be in possession of a stolen .38-caliber pistol and two bags of marijuana. Juvenile petitions are to be filed against all four, police said.

•Theft. Four Acura TL wheels and a Dodge Neon wheel were stolen from a home on Route 168 in New Beaver Borough between Sept. 17 and Friday. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at (724) 598-2211.

•Theft. A 1968 Honda Mini-Trail 50 sport utility vehicle, a car battery and a gasoline can were stolen from a trailer and shed between Sept. 11 and 17 along Old Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township.
