NEW CASTLE —
Hickory Township police believe the driver fell asleep prior to crashing her car into a fence Wednesday night.
Police said Jamie Cunningham, 37, of 112 E. Oakwood Way, was on State Road near Patton Road about 8:10 p.m., when she crossed the center line and left the road, striking a fence.
Police said she sustained a head injury and was taken to Jameson Hospital.
She was cited for driving with an expired license and for failing to have insurance.
