Police: Woman in traffic stop had heroin

NEW CASTLE — New Castle police arrested a West Side woman after they found suspected heroin in her car.

Police said they stopped a car on Court Street driven by Misty Blu McKim, 29, of 907 Emery St. at 2:10 p.m. Monday with knowledge that she does not have a valid driver’s license.

Police pulled her over in the courthouse lot and verified her license is suspended.

Her car was impounded. Police executed a search warrant and said they found a plastic bag of suspected heroin in the rear driver’s side door pocket.

McKim is charged with possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while her license is suspended.

She was sent a summons in the mail to appear in court.

Yes. Expanding the scope of where people can carry guns can help halt violent crimes and make those places safer.
No. Carrying guns into bars and schools is NEVER a good idea. I think it will lead to more violence.
