NEW CASTLE —
•Assault. A cleaning crew member said he had been punched by a man found inside the medical arts building at 2602 Wilmington Road after hours May 8. The victim told officers the suspect began to run when told he shouldn’t be in the building. When the worker gave chase, he was punched and had his shirt torn. The suspect is a white male with long hair, scars on his face and teardrop tattoos near his left eye.
•Burglary. Someone broke into a home on Mud Bridge Road in Little Beaver Township May 10 and took items valued at $638.
•Criminal mischief. A man reported someone threw an object at his vehicle while he was westbound on Route 108 near Laurel High School Sunday. The object damaged the vehicle’s hood.
•Harassment. Police charged Megan Taylor Agnone, 21, of Bessemer with harassment for allegedly spitting on another woman May 5 in Bessemer.
•Accident. Police said Martha J. Simmons, 38, of Wampum lost control of her vehicle on Wampum Road near Jockey Moore Road in Wayne Township at 11:35 p.m. April 20. The vehicle went off the road and hit an embankment. Simmons suffered moderate injuries and was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
•Recovered stolen vehicle. A motorcycle stolen from Beaver Falls was found in a wooded area near the intersection of Routes 18 and 288 in New Beaver Borough May 6.
•Criminal mischief. Someone removed a panel from a building on Harlansburg Road in Plain Grove Township between April 22 and May 12.

New Castle police charged the following people:
•Alvin Larica Perkins Jr., 19, of New Castle, two counts each of criminal attempt/burglary, criminal mischief and corruption of minors.
•Christina Jones, 32, of New Castle, harassment.
•Colby James Marshall, 21, of Ellwood City, flight to avoid apprehension, trial, or punishment, resisting arrest and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
•Maximillian E. Knechtel, 35, of New Castle, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
New Castle’s code enforcement department charged the following people:
•Jamie Stanley of New Castle, sanitation of exterior property areas violation, failure to cut weeds or grass and two counts of failure to remove dog feces.
•Kenneth Stanley of New Castle, sanitation of exterior property areas violation, failure to cut weeds or grass and two counts of failure to remove dog feces.
•Jerry Wolfe Jr. of Cabot, Pa., failure to remove dog feces and sanitation of exterior property areas violation.

•Jeffrey Michael Stelter, 34, of Ellwood City, simple assault and harassment.
•Cheryl A. Henry, 45, of Ellwood City, use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
•Nigel C. McClain, 18, of Ellwood City, intent to possess a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
•Lindsay Sue Ostrom, 26, of Ellwood City, endangering the welfare of children, failure to have dog or cat vaccinated, failure to apply for dog license and harboring a dangerous dog.

•Danielle L. Stoner, 20, of New Castle, charged by state police with three counts of driving under the influence and one count each of purchase of an alcoholic beverage by a minor, minor prohibited/operating with alcohol, restrictions on alcoholic beverages and not using low beam lights.

Jeep flips onto roof in Falls Street accident
A Pulaski woman was injured when her car collided with a van and flipped onto its roof, trapping her inside. The accident occurred around 11:15 a.m. Thursday on Falls Street at the intersection of Lowry Street.
Felon arrested for drugs on Halco Drive
Narcotics investigators found cocaine and marijuana while serving a sealed search warrant on Halco Drive Thursday. They also confiscated oxycodone pills and a loaded .38-caliber pistol.
Chimney fire damages home
A chimney fire caused damage to a North Beaver Township home this week. The North Beaver Township Volunteer Fire Department was called to the home of Joe Procopio at 325 Reed Road.
Man jailed for assault facing drug charges
A man jailed Wednesday in connection with an alleged burglary and assault is now facing drug charges, too. New Castle police said that when they arrested Glenn David Samuels III, 22, of 304 E. Lutton St., at his home just before noon Wednesday, they found him to be in possession of about 8 grams of heroin and 3 grams of crack cocaine, all broken down into individual packages for sale.
Man charged after hitting Capitol Grille
An East Side man is facing charges after a December accident when his truck allegedly hit the Capitol Grille building. On Wednesday, New Castle police charged George A. Stevens, 58, of Apt. 412, 814 W. Washington St., in connection with the accident that occurred around 1:50 p.m. Dec. 31.
Police arrest woman wanted in Florida
An East Side woman whose car was stopped by New Castle police is wanted on felony charges in Florida. New Castle police have charged Vivian Lynn King, 54, of 1819 E. Washington St., as a fugitive from justice.
McGrath Manor raid leads to man’s arrest
One person was charged following a drug raid at New Castle’s McGrath Manor. Daymond Waller, 20, of 814 W. Washington St. was charged after the raid by New Castle police and the Lawrence County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force Wednesday morning.
Man charged with break-in
A New Castle man is facing 15 charges stemming from a break-in on the city’s West Side. Glenn David Samuels, 22, was charged with burglary, aggravated and simple assault, criminal trespass, prohibited possession of a firearm, robbery, carrying a concealed firearm without a license, endangering the welfare of children, theft, receiving stolen property, terrroristic threats, recklessly endangering another, defiant trespassing, criminal mischief and harassment.
Sex offender jailed on escape charge
A Neshannock Township man was jailed on $100,000 bond after being charged with escape Wednesday. David Wayne Talbert, 19, of 259 Cathcart Drive was arrested after he allegedly cut off the electronic monitoring device he had been wearing as he awaited sentencing on sex charges.
‘Person of interest’ interviewed in fatality
Police have a lead in a deadly hit-and-run accident last week. According to Shenango Township police, officers have interviewed someone they described as a “person of interest.” The name of that person was not released.
