Two injured in Eastbrook Road crash

NEW CASTLE — Drivers of two of the three vehicles involved in a crash Thursday on Eastbrook Road required medical attention.

Hickory Township police said Michele Brown of New Castle, northbound on Eastbrook Road at 1:15 p.m., hit the back of a trailer of a utility vehicle that was parked at the side of the road with its lights flashing.

Police said the truck was driven by Michael Thompson of Chippewa. The trailer sustained damage.

Following the collision with the trailer, officers said, Brown’s white Jeep hit a tan Ford Taurus, driven by Haskel Griffin of New Castle, who was southbound on Eastbrook Road.

Police said the collision resulted in the road being closed for about a half-hour while firefighters cleared debris.

Both vehicles were towed. Police said Brown, who was cited for careless driving and failure to travel at a safe speed, was taken to Jameson Hospital. Griffin was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

No information was available on either victim Thursday evening.

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to authorize Speaker John Boehner to sue President Obama for allegedly overstepping his legal authority with the way he's handled Obamacare. Good call?

Yes. Obama's been overstepping his authority since day one in office. It's time he pay the piper.
No. The allegations are ridiculous and the law suit is a waste of time and tax payer money.
I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of Obama, but the suit seems a little extreme.
