•Trespassing. Canton Dayshawn Blakely, 23, of 714 1/2 Cleveland Ave., was arrested for allegedly trespassing at the Sciota Street projects on Wednesday. Police said they were called regarding him assaulting a woman there. He is charged with defiant trespass.
•Trespass. Brian Tanner, 42, of 104 1/2 Kenneth Ave., was arrested at Westview Terrace on Monday. Police said he was arguing with a woman there and was on the trespass list. He is charged with criminal trespass.
•Burglary. Someone broke into a home in the 1500 block of Grimes Street between 3:30 and 5:15 p.m. Tuesday and ransacked it.
•Theft. More than $250 was reported stolen from the purse of a customer of a business in the Temple Building on North Street around 2:20 p.m. Tuesday.
•Burglary. About $100 in cash was reported stolen from a home in the 500 block of East Division Street during the day Tuesday.
•Burglary. Someone stole various items from a garage in the 1100 block of Summit Street. The break-in was reported Tuesday.
•Criminal mischief. Someone broke the windshield of a car parked in the 900 block of Marshall Avenue during the night Wednesday.
•Criminal mischief. The rear window of a car was shattered while it was parked in the 1000 block of Rose Avenue overnight Dec. 13 to 14.
•Accident. A pickup truck driven by Jason Thomas Warner, 20, of West Sunbury, Pa., traveled down an embankment and hit a fence at 713 S. Ray Street around 8:20 p.m. Dec. 14. Warner told police he was trying to back up his truck to turn around and went over the embankment. No injuries were reported.
•Criminal mischief. Someone broke a garbage can outside of Burger King on West Washington Street around 10 p.m. Saturday.
•Burglary. A .25-caliber semiautomatic pistol, $1,500 in cash and a wallet containing various cards were reported stolen from a home in the 1200 block of 12th St., West Pittsburg on Saturday.
•Burglary. A six-foot aluminum ladder, a black and white two-seater bicycle, a kerosene heater and a case of old 7-Up bottles were reported stolen from a rental/storage facility in the 500 block of Montgomery Avenue between Saturday and Monday.
•Theft. A purple purse, two bank cards and bank checks were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 300 block of Edgewood Avenue between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Monday.
•Burglary. Someone broke into a house in the 500 block of East Meyer Avenue between midnight and 5 p.m. Monday.
•Theft. A portable breath test unit and a DVD player were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of East Euclid Avenue between 9 a.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. Monday.
•Accident. A sport utility vehicle driven by Brent Ryan Smith, 29, of 929 Hazel St. hit a utility pole and broke it in half on South Cascade Street at Grandview Avenue around 7 a.m. Dec. 14. Smith told police he swerved to avoid a northbound car in front of him. No injuries were reported.
•Theft. Police said charges are pending against a former Wendy’s employee who is suspected of stealing from her cash register drawer. Police said she worked about 3 1/2 hours on Dec. 18, then walked off the job around 5:30 p.m. Managers audited her cash register and it came up $109 short, police reported. Store managers told police that the worker did not tell anyone she was leaving. A witness saw her in the women’s restroom counting money on the sink, police said.
