Fourth home invasion suspect arrested in Arizona

NEW CASTLE — A fourth person has been arrested in connection with a home invasion in North Beaver Township.

Ronald Eugene Clark II, 41, of 3016 McClelland Ave. was arrested Thursday at a shopping center in Tempe, Ariz.

The Pennsylvania State Police Fugitive Task Force learned Clark was in Arizona and notified the Federal Fugitive Task Force, which located him.

Police said Clark is awaiting extradition proceedings and will be returned to Pennsylvania.

Clark faces charges of burglary, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, carrying a concealed firearm without a license and two counts of robbery.

Police believe Clark fired a gun inside the house during last week’s home invasion and pointed it at a 2-year-old girl there.

According to police, all four suspects in the home invasion have been apprehended.

Others charged are: Michael Aaron Waters, 23, charged with conspiracy and carrying a concealed firearm without a license, held in the Lawrence County jail on $100,000 bond; Richard A. Javens, 42, charged with burglary, robbery, conspiracy, criminal trespass, prohibited possession of a firearm and possession of an instrument of crime, in a Pittsburgh hospital after being shot in the chest by the homeowner; Christopher Isaiah Waters, 21, charged with burglary, robbery, conspiracy and theft, also in the county jail on $100,000 bond. All three men live at 3063 McClelland Ave.

State police said the four are suspects in a home invasion that occurred about 1:15 a.m. March 28 at a mobile home on Hillsville-Bessemer Road.

Officers said the victims reported at least three armed men entered their home. The owner fired a shotgun, striking one in the chest. Police said the others had threatened to shoot his 2-year-old daughter unless he dropped the shotgun. He did and was then assaulted by the men, who took about $45 from the residents.
