Police

STATE

•Theft. Scrap auto parts were reported stolen from Princeton Auto Repair at 3068 Church Road in Slippery Rock Township between June 12 and June 17.

•Accident. Patrick E. Holsinger, 40, of Fombell failed to negotiate a curve on his motorcycle on Pleasant Hill Road in Perry Township around 8:40 p.m. June 3 and his bike went over an embankment. He suffered minor injuries and was not wearing a helmet, police said. His passenger was not injured.

•Accident. Police said an unknown driver was northbound on Old Route 19 in Scott Township around 9:45 p.m. June 9 when he drove off the right side of the road and hit a stop sign. The driver then left the scene.

•Police said a suspect was following two people in their car through Bessemer around 3:30 a.m. June 20 and as they stopped at an address on Poland Road, the suspect broke all of the windows of the car they were in, and the driver sustained cuts on his face. Police said charges are pending.

    A Sheep Hill man is in the county jail after allegedly threatening to kill a woman with a pipe bomb. New Castle officers and three members of the Pittsburgh police bomb squad went to the tan and brick two-story house at 116 W. Balph Ave. Monday to look for Daniel William Wilson, 36, who lives there.

    A man shot during an alleged home invasion has been released from the hospital and jailed. Richard Andrew Javens, 43, of 3063 McClelland Ave. was discharged from Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh Saturday and immediately taken into custody on a warrant.

  • Police.jpg City man to answer Wyoming drug charges first

    A North Hill man arrested for allegedly having guns and drugs in his house is being extradited to Wyoming. After that, Michael Antonini IV, 21, will face multiple drug charges in Lawrence County, according to New Castle Police Chief Bobby Salem.

    Bronte Baxter was at home with her two babies Monday when she saw flames at the back of her house. “I was in the living room and saw fire in the kitchen,” the resident of 602 Taylor St. said. “I thought, ‘Oh my gosh,’ and I went upstairs to get my phone.”

    A West Side man is in jail after police allegedly found suspected marijuana in his apartment. New Castle police arrested Robert Lee Gordon Jr., 39, of Apt. 601, McGrath Manor, at his home after executing a sealed search warrant there Wednesday.
