Man facing robbery charges

NEW CASTLE — A North Beaver Township man has been charged with robbing a store and threatening a cashier.

Daniel Matthew Keller, 22, of 400 Reed Road, is charged with robbery, carrying a concealed firearm without a license, theft, receiving stolen property and recklessly endangering another person.

He was arraigned before District Justice Jennifer Nicholson and jailed on $50,000 bond.

North Beaver Township police were called to the K&D store at 1672 East Poland Road about 6:15 p.m. Thursday.

According to court documents, a man wearing a mask covering the lower half of his face entered the store and waved a gun at the cashier. He demanded money from lottery ticket sales and the cash register.

Shortly after the robbery, police were notified a man matching the description of the robber was seen walking on Mount Jackson Road. Officers took him into custody and found $662 in his pocket.

Police said Keller, the man they had picked up, was questioned and confessed to the robbery.

North Beaver police were assisted by officers from Mahoning and Union townships who helped to search a wooded area, a New Castle police officer and his dog, and Ellwood City and state police.

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to authorize Speaker John Boehner to sue President Obama for allegedly overstepping his legal authority with the way he's handled Obamacare. Good call?

Yes. Obama's been overstepping his authority since day one in office. It's time he pay the piper.
No. The allegations are ridiculous and the law suit is a waste of time and tax payer money.
I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of Obama, but the suit seems a little extreme.
