NEW CASTLE —
A second suspect is facing charges in the Little Caesars Pizza robbery.
New Castle police charged William Ronald Fry, 28, in the Sept. 28 holdup. They allege he and Christopher Pagley took $450 from the Wilmington Road shop at gunpoint.
Pagley, 28, of 316 Lake Drive, was charged in the pizza shop robbery earlier this week. Police said he had been caught breaking into a house on the city’s North Hill. He also was charged with that break-in, as well as multiple other burglaries in that area.
Fry, who has addresses at 122 E. Wallace Ave. and 228 E. Laurel Blvd., is in jail. He was arrested last week for allegedly burglarizing a vacant house with Pagley on Edison Avenue.
In the pizza shop case, Fry is charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery with threat of immediate serious bodily injury, theft and receiving stolen property. He was arraigned by District Judge Melissa Amodie, who upped his bond by $50,000. His bond for the vacant house burglary had been set at $1,000.
Police had received a panic alarm at Little Caesars around 11:30 p.m. A clerk told police one of the men had pointed a gun at her, demanded money and threatened to blow her head off.
Fry was arrested on warrant Oct. 1 for the house burglary. In his backpack, jail staff found gloves and socks that matched the witness descriptions from the night of the pizza shop robbery.
When he was arrested this week, Pagley was wearing shoes and gloves that matched those police had seen in a surveillance video from the pizza shop. They said Pagley had been sitting in a car outside the house when Fry was arrested for the previous burglary.
His preliminary hearing is set for Thursday.
