Vehicles vandalized over weekend

NEW CASTLE — New Castle police said multiple vehicles were damaged over the weekend, most by BB guns.

Windows of six vehicles in the area of Winslow and Marshall avenues were damaged by BB gun shots before 11:45 p.m. Friday, officers said.

Another six vehicles in the area of Superior and Dushane streets sustained window damage from BB gun pellets and some were broken into between 9 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Officers also reported:

•The driver’s side window of a pickup truck parked in the 900 block of Morton Street was shot out with a pellet gun between 7 p.m. Friday and 11:20 a.m. Saturday.

•The back window of a vehicle parked in the 200 block of North Ray Street was broken before noon Sunday.

•The passenger side window of a vehicle parked in the 1200 block of Delaware Avenue appeared to have been shot out by BB gun pellets between 10 p.m. Saturday and 5:15 p.m. Sunday.

•The passenger side window of a vehicle was shattered, apparently with a BB gun, while parked in the 900 block of Almira Avenue between 9 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday.

Milwaukee catcher Martin Maldonado has been suspended five games for sucker punching Pittsburgh’s Travis Snider during a bench clearing brawl on Sunday. You OK with that suspension?

Yes. Seems fair.
No. Baseball NEVER gets it right in these situations. Should have been at least 20 games for his sucker punch into a pile of players.
Not sure, but I’d love to see baseball be like hockey and allow two guys to fight for a while before breaking it up. Let’s see how tough Maldonado is then.
