NEW CASTLE —
A Hickory Township man has been arrested for alleged inappropriate contact with a child.
State police Thursday charged Taylor Ree Boak-Burgess, 19, of 120 Independence Lane with two counts of indecent assault.
Troopers said they interviewed a 14-year-old who told them Boak-Burgess, an acquaintance of her family, repeatedly put his hands inside her clothing and private areas when she was 8 and 9 years old. Boak-Burgess was 14 and 15 years old when the incidents allegedly occurred, according to police.
The teen told police that many of the incidents had occurred at the family’s camp in Venango County, but he also had made advances at her numerous times at her family’s home in Mahoning Township when he was visiting.
Boak-Burgess was arrested Thursday afternoon and arraigned before District Judge Scott McGrath, who set a $10,000 unsecured bond, which means he did not have to go to jail, but if he fails to show up for court, he will have to pay it and will be arrested.
