NEW CASTLE — A non-functioning meth lab was being investigated by authorities Tuesday afternoon in New Castle.
Equipment for a meth lab was found at a home along Marshall Avenue on the city's East Side.
Few details were available, but New Castle Police Chief Robert Salem said the lab was either an old one or had not yet been put into use. There were apparently no dangerous chemicals at the site.
However, a portion of Marshall Avenue was blocked off and hazardous materials crews were called in as a precaution.
