NEW CASTLE — An Ellwood City woman is facing charges for an alleged disturbance with her neighbor.

According to Ellwood City police, a man who lives near Kim Kerr, 53, of 107 Grim Ave., said he heard a banging noise coming from Kerr’s property around 8 a.m. Wednesday.

He told police he walked outside and saw a man banging on a tin pot, singing, “Ding Dong, the Witch is Dead.” The victim said the man and two women, one of whom was Kerr, yelled profanities at him and he walked to the front of his property and onto the street when the three of them approached him.

The victim said he was going to get his phone from Kerr when she pulled a gun and threatened to blow his head off if he stepped onto her property. He said he walked away, toward his garage, and reported the incident to the police.

Officers said they learned Kerr had a .38-caliber snub-nose pistol in her purse.

She is charged with making terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

She was issued a summons to appear in court for her preliminary hearing.
