Police use Taser three times on man

NEW CASTLE — New Castle police say they had to shoot a Taser three times at an unruly man at a hospital.

Terrell Marquise Cleckley, 19, of 511 Young St., then allegedly hit an officer in the back of the head as police were arresting him.

Police were called around 10 a.m. Tuesday to Jameson South regarding Cleckley, who was jumping around and saying he wasn’t afraid of the police.

When police arrived, they said Cleckley turned and ran to the end of the hall and put his fists in the air.  Police deployed a Taser three times but said it did not have an affect.

As they forcefully wrestled him onto the floor, he punched one officer in the back of the head, according to police reports.

He is charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
