City residents facing drug charges

NEW CASTLE — Two people are facing drug charges for allegedly selling narcotics in separate controlled buys to confidential informants.

The Lawrence County District Attorney’s office charged Darrian M. Brooks, 25, of 128 E. Walnut St. for allegedly selling 4.86 grams of heroin to an undercover informant Oct. 17 on the city’s lower East Side. He is charged with possession of narcotics with intent to deliver, possession and criminal use of a communication facility.

The office’s narcotics officers also have charged Timothy L. Arroyo, 29, of 333 E. Long Ave. for allegedly selling 28 Roxicodone tablets to a confidential informant Nov. 19 on the city’s South Side.

Arroyo is charged with conspiracy to possess narcotics with intent to deliver, possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy to possess narcotics and criminal use of a communication facility.

Both men are wanted on warrants.
