Man arrested in gun incident

NEW CASTLE — An Ellwood City area man has been jailed for allegedly pulling a gun on a woman at her home.

Ellwood City police charged Jeffrey Ray Callahan Jr. of Ellwood Road with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment in connection with the incident reported around 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Lawrence Avenue.

Police said a woman who is acquainted with Callahan reported he had broken into her home, pointed a gun at her and said he was going to kill her and himself.

She said he continued threatening her with the gun and eventually put it on a table. She said she took the gun to a relative’s house, then returned home to find Callahan gone. She went out again and returned to find Callahan in her house, adding he had broken the front door.

He was arrested and arraigned yesterday before District Judge Jerry G. Cartwright, who set his bond at $50,000.

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to authorize Speaker John Boehner to sue President Obama for allegedly overstepping his legal authority with the way he's handled Obamacare. Good call?

Yes. Obama's been overstepping his authority since day one in office. It's time he pay the piper.
No. The allegations are ridiculous and the law suit is a waste of time and tax payer money.
I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of Obama, but the suit seems a little extreme.
