Man to be cited in Butler Avenue wreck

NEW CASTLE — A man who hit a utility pole on Butler Avenue will be cited for leaving the scene, police said.

Timothy Dennis Brown, 57, of 1961 Perry Highway, Volant was uninjured in the 1 p.m. accident Tuesday, according to police. The pole was sheared off, causing a section of Butler Avenue to be closed for a couple of hours because high tension wires were on the ground.

New Castle police said Brown overcompensated his steering while negotiating a sharp curve in the 1400 block of Butler Avenue. His truck hit the pole and knocked it down and he then drove away, according to police.

Brown then stopped at a grocery store near the accident scene, police said. They found him nearby as he was leaving the store, when his truck became disabled from the accident damage.

Officers said Brown admitted to them that he had hit the pole.

On Wednesday, the House of Representatives voted to authorize Speaker John Boehner to sue President Obama for allegedly overstepping his legal authority with the way he's handled Obamacare. Good call?

Yes. Obama's been overstepping his authority since day one in office. It's time he pay the piper.
No. The allegations are ridiculous and the law suit is a waste of time and tax payer money.
I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of Obama, but the suit seems a little extreme.
