On the Record: Today’s births, police items, district judge reports and divorces



To Sabrina McBride of Hermitage and William Samuels of Hermitage, a son on Feb. 12, 2014, in Horizon Hospital, Farrell.



•Burglary. A laptop computer was stolen from an apartment on Halco Drive between 4 and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

•Theft. A television and a .22-caliber semiautomatic pistol with two magazines were stolen from an apartment in the 300 block of East Wallace Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

•Theft. A blue and white Suzuki Sport quad was stolen from a property in the 800 block of Frank Avenue between Feb. 8 and 9.

•Theft. A battery charger was stolen and three security cameras damaged at an apartment in the 100 block of West Lincoln Avenue about 12:30 a.m. Feb. 10.

•Burglary. Someone broke into a house in the 300 block of Lutton Street between 3:45 and 9 p.m. Feb. 11. Two televisions, a video game console and a laptop computer were stolen.


•Accident. Police said Nikola J. Relic, 51, of New Castle, westbound on Route 224 in Union Township about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, hit the car of Jerome J. Jurcisin, 75, of Lowellville, Ohio, trying to turn left from Route 224 to a side street. No injuries were reported. Both cars were towed. Officers said Jurcisin was cited for a turning violation.

•Accident. Police said William T. Probst, 65, of Mercer, northbound on Interstate 376 in Union Township, at 6:45 p.m. Jan. 17, traveling in near white-out conditions, lost control of his car after applying his brakes. Police said he hit the back of the car of Danielle M. Walker, 26, of New Castle, pushing it into the back of the car of Jennifer L. Bright, 39, of New Castle. Police said several vehicles were stopped on the highway because of weather conditions. Officers said Walker sustained minor injuries, no other injuries were reported.

•Accident. Police said Solomon N. Majak, 31, of Beaver Falls and Matthew M. Elias, 33, of New Castle collided on Big Beaver Boulevard in Big Beaver Borough in Beaver County about 1 a.m. Feb. 2. No injuries were reported.

•Burglary. A 32-inch television and several coins were taken from a residence on Mudd Bridge Road, Little Beaver Township between 6:10 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. Friday.


•Accident. Police said two vehicles collided on the Route 422 bypass at the East Washington street intersection at 8:45 a.m. Thursday. Nkula Goma, 22, of South Park and Margaret Joann Bryant, 65, of Ford City, were both traveling west when their autos collided. There were no injuries reported and both autos were driven from the scene.
