Three charged following fight

NEW CASTLE — Police arrested three people as the result of a fight reported in Perry Township last month.

Facing the most serious charge — aggravated assault — is Toni Marie Kazeva, 33, of 513 Palo Alto Drive. Officers said she had hit a man on the head with a landscape light, then bit him.

State police investigated the June 21 incident at 513 Palo Alto Drive. According to officers, an argument erupted among some family members when several had arrived at the home to get a power washer.

Two brothers — Mark Phillip Mansfield, 32, of 513 Palo Alto Drive, and Jeffery Phillip Mansfield, 35, of New Castle — allegedly got into an argument, then began fighting with each other.

Police said Kazeva told them she had gone to Mark Mansfield’s defense and reported Jeffery Mansfield had kicked her in the abdomen. Police said he told officers that Kazeva had hit him on the head with the light, then bit him on the arm.

Police said they observed various injuries to the participants, including a wound on Jeffrey Mansfield’s head that required 10 staples to close. They also observed bite marks on his arm.

Along with aggravated assault, Kazeva is charged with simple assault and harassment. The Mansfield brothers were both charged with simple assault and harassment.
