City man sought in escape case

NEW CASTLE — A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a New Castle man after an alleged escape.

Authorities are seeking Samuel L. Lowry III, 32, of 1213 Williams St. who allegedly fled from Jameson Hospital Monday.

According to New Castle police, Lowry was at the hospital after complaining his ribs were broken. He had been taken into custody by county adult probation officers, who said he had failed a drug test while on probation.

The complaint said Lowry was uncooperative with adult probation officials and had to be taken to the ground. Later, he was transported to Jameson after he complained of rib injuries.

At the hospital, officers said, Lowry’s handcuffs were removed to allow for X-rays. At that point, he ran out and left the building, they said. The area around Jameson was search by police Monday afternoon without success.

Lowry is charged with escape, flight to avoid apprehension and disorderly conduct.

Do you talk to yourself when you're alone?

Yes, but I’m basically just thinking out loud.
No, that would be weird.
I don’t know. Next time I’m alone, I’ll ask.
