Fast-food worker accused of stealing money

NEW CASTLE — A South Side man is accused of pocketing money at Burger King while working there.

New Castle police have charged Noah Christopher Vinroe, 21, of 1309 Sciota St. with theft and receiving stolen property in connection with the incident.

The general manager of the restaurant at 101 W. Washington St. reported the matter to police.

An officer who watched a surveillance video said he saw Vinroe working the drive-through cash register, and twice he took a $20 bill from a customer and put the money into his right front pants pocket instead of into the cash register.

He was sent a summons to appear in court for a preliminary hearing.
