NEW CASTLE —
All three men charged in a November shooting on Adams Street have now been arrested.
New Castle police took two of them into custody this week. One already had been apprehended and is free on bail.
Albert Scott Tedrow Jr., 24, of West Pittsburg was arrested Monday night when New Castle police found him hiding out in a hotel on Route 422.
Daniel McCue, 19, of Highland Ave., charged as the alleged gunman with criminal attempt at homicide, robbery and multiple other counts, turned himself in to police at their station Tuesday night in the company of his attorney, David Acker.
Police chief Bobby Salem said some of McCue’s belongings were found in the hotel room where Tedrow was hiding.
Officers were led to the hotel from an unrelated traffic stop on East Washington Street around 7 p.m. Monday, where they allegedly found drugs and money on the passenger, Roy Gene Zook, 33, of 3062 McClelland Ave.
Zook was wanted on a state parole violation and a felony firearms warrant by Shenango Township police.
City police arrested Zook and found suspected heroin and marijuana and an unopened Suboxone, a narcotic film, in his pocket. He also had a prescription bottle of about 32 oxycodone tablets and a room key to the Caravan II Albergo hotel on Route 422. Officers additionally found $1,103 in cash in Zook’s pocket.
According to Salem, police then obtained a search warrant for Zook’s hotel room, and they arrived to find Tedrow hiding there.
Tedrow is charged with criminal conspiracy to commit robbery in the Nov. 6 Adams Street shooting, when a man suffered bullet wounds to the neck and chest. Tedrow was wanted on a warrant when police found him at the hotel. He was arraigned by District Judge David B. Rishel and jailed in lieu of $10,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is Jan. 30 .
McCue had been shot multiple times Friday night in an unrelated incident and was flown to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He also was wanted on a warrant for the Adams Street shooting, but he left the hospital before New Castle officers could get there to arrest him.
Upon surrendering Tuesday, he was arraigned by Rishel and lodged in the Lawrence County jail in lieu of $200,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is Jan. 29.
The third man accused in the Adams Street incident, Marcus Stanton, 18, of 709 Countyline St., also was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and was arrested more than a week ago. He has posted bail. His preliminary hearing is Feb. 26.
All three hearings will be in Central Court.

Drug charges filed after raid
Police have charged four people arrested during a drug raid Wednesday in Union Township. Members of the Lawrence County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force executed a sealed search warrant at 27 Spring St. All four suspects live at that address, according to court records.

A New Castle man who hit a tree in Pulaski Township has been admitted to St. Elizabeth Health Center. According to Pulaski Township police, Adam Welsh, 36, of 202 E. Fairmont Ave., was eastbound on Route 422 about 1:30 a.m. Thursday when his pickup truck left the road.

The New Castle police department fire investigator was called for a blaze at a garage. The three-bay garage at 626 Superior St. was a total loss, according to New Castle firefighters, who were called about 11:40 p.m. Wednesday. They remained at the scene until nearly 3 a.m.

Shenango man accused of breaking into car
A Shenango man was arrested after he allegedly was caught breaking into a car on New Castle’s East Side. New Castle police charged Jessie Lauderbaugh, 23, of Highview Drive with fleeing from police, theft from a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct and loitering and prowling at night.

Police arrest four in Union Township drug raid
Four people were arrested and drugs and a gun were confiscated Wednesday when police raided a house in Union Township. Union Township police, with the Lawrence County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force and New Castle police special response team and narcotics unit, served a sealed search warrant at 27 Spring St. just before 6:30 a.m.

Man charged as store burglary accomplice
New Castle police have arrested a South Side man for his alleged role in a convenience store burglary. Alex John Benkosky, 21, of 821 S. Mercer St., is accused as an accomplice in the March 26 break-in at the Country Fair on Croton Avenue.

Man accused of cutting woman
A New Castle man is accused of allegedly assaulting a Crestview Gardens woman. Police said Dajoi Taylor, 19, of 509 W. North St. allegedly hit an 18-year-old woman in the cheek with a purple eyebrow razor and pulled the weave out of her hair during an encounter around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Vacant house burns on South Side
A vacant South Side house burned Monday morning. New Castle firefighters were called at 12:50 a.m. to 510 Galbreath St. They said the structure “was fully involved” when they arrived and flames could be seen on all four sides of the building.

Man reports being pistol whipped
A Detroit man reported to New Castle police he had been pistol whipped by two men in Crestview Gardens. The man told police the incident occurred around 3 p.m. Wednesday on Parkwood Court.
