NEW CASTLE — Two people were injured Wednesday when their pickup truck rolled over on Devil’s Elbow Road in Hickory Township.

Hickory police said the driver, Vern Sipe, 52, and Austin Sipe, 19, both of Hickory Township, suffered minor injuries and were taken to Jameson Hospital.

Police said Sipe was eastbound on Devil’s Elbow Road when his truck hit a wet spot, causing him to lose control. According to police, Sipe said the truck rolled over twice, but when police arrived the vehicle was upright on all four wheels.

The accident happened about 6 p.m., approximately a mile west of Eastbrook Road.
