Police: Reports for Dec. 20

NEW CASTLE — STATE

•Hit and run. A car driven by Robert Brown, 24, of 266 Chapel Drive, Ellwood City, was southbound on Route 388 in Slippery Rock Township around 3:25 a.m. Saturday when it went off the road and hit a utility pole. The driver then left the scene. The Shenango Township police and Slippery Rock Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted. Brown’s Nissan sustained major damage, police said.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal signed “unprecedented” legislation yesterday to expand gun rights in his state. Good idea?

Yes. Expanding the scope of where people can carry guns can help halt violent crimes and make those places safer.
No. Carrying guns into bars and schools is NEVER a good idea. I think it will lead to more violence.
Not sure, but I don’t plan to visit Georgia any time soon.
