Man sought in robbery attempt

NEW CASTLE — Neshannock Township police are looking for a man who tried to rob a 64-year-old woman at her car yesterday afernoon.

Police said the woman was at outside of a store in the 2400 block of Wilmington Road around 11:40 a.m. and a man approached and wanted to get into her car. She said he  had gray material covering the lower half of his face and his hand was in his pocket.

He tried to get into her car twice and the woman screamed and ran into the store, according to reports.

The man then ran away going south. Police said he did not take anything or get into her car.

New Castle police assisted Neshannock Township in looking for him but they did not find him.
