Police

STATE


•Disorderly conduct. A dispute over parking led to a fist fight and disorderly conduct charges at a Wilmington Township business on Route 208, Wilmington Township Wednesday afternoon. Police cited Gordon Keith Vickery Jr., 55, of Ocheyedan, Iowa, and Kerry Leon Freeman, 43, of Sandersville, Ga. Vickery was also charged with criminal mischief for damaging Freeman’s cell phone.

•Theft. Money was reported taken from a house on Wampum Road at Newport Road, North Beaver Township, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday.

•Theft. A red ATV was reported stolen from the driveway of a house in the 1900 block of Shenango Road in Wampum during the daytime Monday.

•Criminal mischief. Mailboxes on Grant City Road and Princeton Station Road, Slippery Rock Township, were reported damaged between Nov. 5 and 6.

•Brandy Riley, 29, of New Castle, charged by the Pennsylvania Office of Inspector General with food stamp fraud.

•Mark Druga, 59, of New Castle, charged by New Castle's code enforcement department with accumulation of rubbish and window, skylight and door frames violation.

New Castle police charged the following people:

•Courtney Wells, 23, of New Castle, driving under the influence and violation of period requiring headlights.

•Mandy Jo Strickler, 31, of Harmony, Pa., two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of driving while operating privileges are suspended, careless driving and reckless driving.

•John M. Popovich Jr., 53, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.

•Nicole M. Robertson, 28, of New Castle, manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, intent to possess a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

•James J. Lynch Jr., 39, of New Castle, theft and receiving stolen property.

•Eric G. Francis, 39, of Ellwood City, receiving stolen property and retail theft.

•Teressa L. Maines, 35, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.

•Shakira Lichelle Henley, of New Castle, disorderly conduct.

•Ronald Grayson Nixon, 24, of New Castle, simple assault and harassment.

State police charged the following:

•Charles R. Kaufman, 42, of Wampum, harassment.

•Alexis Nichole Webb, 21, of Indiana, Pa., theft, theft by deception, receiving stolen property and access device fraud.

•Nicole Robertson, 28, of New Castle, charged by Union Township police with manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, intent to possess a controlled substance, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, operating vehicle without required insurance and failure to obey traffic-control devices.

•Angela Renee Kirkland, 45, of New Castle, charged by New Castle police with unlawful confinement and control, pet confined within the premises of the owner violation, failure to apply for dog license and vaccination against rabies required.

SCOTT A. MCGRATH

Neshannock Township police charged the following people:

•William R. Enscoe, 51, of New Castle, two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of disregarding traffic lane and careless driving.

•Eric Clayton Hall, 32, of New Castle, two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property and disregarding traffic lanes.

•Devin Bonjivengo, 18, of New Castle, two counts each of terroristic threats and disorderly conduct and one count each of recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

    A New Castle woman will be cited for failing to stop in time to avoid striking a stopped school bus. Neshannock police said Mary Clause struck the Neshannock bus, which had stopped in the 1800 block of Pulaski Road about 4 p.m. Wednesday.

  • North Hill man faces stalking charges

    A North Hill man is facing charges for allegedly stalking a neighbor who complained he has been watching her. New Castle police have charged Donald Dean Crews, 53, of 228 E. Fairmont Ave. with two counts each of stalking and harassment.

  • Police.jpg Man, 61, accused of raping girl

    A Wayne Township man is lodged in the Lawrence County jail, accused of raping a 14-year-old girl. Steven Louis Haynes, 61, of 4626 Ellwood Road was charged by state police in an alleged incident that occurred in February or April of last year at his home.

    A city police fire marshal said he hasn’t ruled yet on a blaze that ravaged two Taylor Street houses. Chris Fabian, who was at the fire scene for the duration Monday morning, said the blaze that displaced three families started in the back of a yellow, two-story duplex at 602 Taylor St.

    A Sheep Hill man is in the county jail after allegedly threatening to kill a woman with a pipe bomb. New Castle officers and three members of the Pittsburgh police bomb squad went to the tan and brick two-story house at 116 W. Balph Ave. Monday to look for Daniel William Wilson, 36, who lives there.

  • Police.jpg Home invasion suspect out of hospital, in jail

    A man shot during an alleged home invasion has been released from the hospital and jailed. Richard Andrew Javens, 43, of 3063 McClelland Ave. was discharged from Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh Saturday and immediately taken into custody on a warrant.

    A North Hill man arrested for allegedly having guns and drugs in his house is being extradited to Wyoming. After that, Michael Antonini IV, 21, will face multiple drug charges in Lawrence County, according to New Castle Police Chief Bobby Salem.
